Richard Day

Richard Day was the World of Outlaws’ Director of Public Relations from 1987 to 2004. Despite having never seen a sprint car race before accepting the position, he quickly became one of auto racing’s leading publicists. Day became the first public relations professional to introduce a major auto racing series to the worldwide web when he started posting World of Outlaws press releases on CompuServe in 1987. He has built and maintained excellent working relationships with news media around the world. Day returned to sprint car racing in 2006 as a columnist, and started representing teams in 2007. He currently represents DIRT Inc. and Kathryne Minter Racing, and is looking for more clients.
