Minter Heads to Dodge
City with Full Head of Steam
DODGE CITY , KS
(July 20) – Kathryne Minter, the hottest young driver in motorsports, is headed to Dodge City Raceway
Park !
Minter, who is already
making her presence well known in motorsports
circles in her fourth year of racing, has accepted Dodge City Raceway
Park’s invitation to race in its American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region races
Saturday and Sunday.
Minter, who raced in
15th Annual American Sprint Car Series Sizzlin'
Summer Speedweek events at Devil’s Bowl Speedway
in Mesquite , TX , Thursday and State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City
Friday, leads the ASCS Gulf South Rookie point standings.

Two years ago, in only her second year of racing, Kathryne won
five of seven IMCA Ice-Breaker races on her way to claiming the series
championship. She has already won 50 feature races in her brief career.
Minter, who lives in Bedford , TX ,
graduated from the Lyn St. James Driver Development Program last year. She
will be Ms. James’ guest at the Fifth Annual Women in the Winner's Circle
Celebration Luncheon honoring women in motorsports
at the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway Plaza Village Pavilion Thursday (July 26).
Despite racing in only
select events, Kathryne – the driver of the Minter-family-owned #13m
J&J – ranks in the top 25 in the ASCS national point standings.
Minter is also a major attraction
off the racetrack. Recently, at a Winged Outlaw Warriors race at Springfield Raceway in Missouri , she signed autographs for more than 200 adoring fans
and sold more T-shirts than any other driver at the event … and it was her
first appearance at the racetrack and in a WOW event.
Kathryne may not be a dominant
racer yet, but she’s quickly putting her signature on motorsports.
Young girls who are starting their racing careers see her as an inspiring
role model. A recent newspaper story about a girl who races mini-stocks in Texarkana mentioned that Kathryne
is one of her heroes. With everything Minter does in addition to racing,
why wouldn’t she be? She attends Fellowship
Baptist Church
and Temple Christian School
and volunteers for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford
Teen Court .
Minter is rapidly
becoming a radio personality, too, because she’s so personable. Kathryne’s recent appearance on KKNG Radio in Oklahoma City was her sixth in the
last eight weeks. She has also made guest appearances on Dirt Nation™ LIVE,
“The Sammy and Bob Show” on ESPN Radio twice and on K-MAC Sports’ “Dirt
Track Insider Show.”
More information about
Minter, including her “Kat’s Corner” and “Off-Track With Kathryne” columns,
can be found on her website at www.mint13.com. Fans can also check out Kathryne’s
merchandise and request a free autographed hero card on her site. Kathryne
Minter Racing invites fans to visit the team’s trailer after the races.

The green flag will
fall on the ASCS Rocky
Mountain Region racing program at Dodge City Raceway
Park at 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday. The racetrack is located near the southern edge of Dodge City on U.S. 56.
