Quotes from Paul
McMahan, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Eagle:
What would it mean to win this Friday’s
Chevrolet-sponsored event at a facility owned by your car owner, Tony Stewart?
“We’re going into Eldora with an equal playing field facing us.
Even though we won there in June, you’re only as good as your last race
results say you are. The win came in June. This is September. The good
thing is that we’re coming into Eldora with a solid week of top-five and
top-10 finishes behind us. That’s definitely a confidence booster. It was
really a lot of fun to call Tony after we won the race in June, he loves Eldora and we know how
much it means to him when his teams run well there. If we can win this
Friday’s Chevrolet
sponsored race it would be an awesome feeling to get to make a call like
that to Tony and Bass Pro Shops. If we’re able to build on the momentum
we’re carrying right now, I think it’s definitely a possibility.”
McMahan will be featured in a two-part series that
gives race fans an up close and personal view of a lap around Eldora
Speedway. The series will run September 19 – 20.
